On the road again!
After 4 great days at Point Roberts, we started our journey back east yesterday. We made a short visit to Steveson, BC (in the Vancouver area) which is the site of Storybrooke in Once Upon a Time. When we were camping at Deception Point, we spent an evening by the campfire with camping neighbors, and one of them did wardrobe for the show. She told us that it was shot in the Vancouver area. With Fay being a big fan of the show we had to check it out.

Our next stop was a 1 hour 20 minute wait crossing the border. Our GPS showed how we could have gone around a couple of blocks and then cut in near the front of the line, but I missed it until we were stuck in the middle.
So we dipped back down into the U.S. and drove through Northern Cascades National Park. It was really gorgeous! We saw a lot of snow capped mountains, the all of sudden found ourselves in the middle of them! We ended up in Winthrop Washington last night, which appears to be kind of an old west town. We may check it out a bit this morning before heading north back up into Canada.
After a few wonderful nights staying with our friends at their cottage in Point Roberts, we're now back at home in our "tiny towable".

After having spent most of our adult life in Orlando, my wife Fay and I moved to Knoxville, TN in 2020. We are loving the change of seasons and being near the mountains. Plus, this part of the country is loaded with great places to camp.We camped years ago with a pop-up camper, but got serious about it when we purchased our Casita in 2014. There was a lot to learn as we started traveling with it, and a lot of conflicting opinions on line. That's when I decided that creating a website would be a good retirement project. I started tinyTowable.com to share things we've learned along the way that have worked well for us in hopes that the information would be of help to others.
However, since moving to Tennessee, I've gotten involved with new hobbies (you can check some out on my personal website at https://www.softrite.com) and we haven't camped very much. So, at the end of 2023, I made the tough decision to stop updating this website.
