Some gifts for your RV...not your spouse!
While browsing Amazon searching for gift ideas for Fay, I ended up looking at things to go in our Casita. I remembered how much I hated it whenever we used to buy something for our home and try to pass it off as a gift for each other. I knew I better not do that to Fay this time. So, I decided to think about some things as gifts for our trailer, that hopefully, we could both enjoy. Here's a few of the ideas I came up with.
Happy Camper Coffee Mugs
Start the morning off right, reminding yourself where you are and how much you love it. This is just one example, but there is quite a variety. You can easily find something that fits your style and reflects how you feel when you're drinking that first cup of coffee each morning when you're in the campground or RV park. Here's a link to a search page on Amazon where you can find your perfect match.
Start your day off with a reminder of what you are!
Salt and Pepper Shakers
Unfortunately, at this point in my life, this is the best way to spice things up first thing in the morning. Nothing like some salt and pepper on my bacon and eggs. These shakers will keep you appreciating where you are. There are a lot of cute sets of shakers available, but these just go together so well! Click here to check them out on Amazon and see what other people have had to say about them.
The "only" way to spice things up first thing in the morning
RV Travel Pillow
Here's something to spot throughout the day, after you've cleared the table and made the bed. They come in many styles with images that vary from small pop-up trailers to motorhomes. You can find them all by clicking here to view all the options.
A little reminder to notice all day long
Portable Table Top Fire Pit
There is nothing like ending the day by stacking up some logs, building a nice fire, and then sitting around enjoying it for the evening. Unfortunately, it's not always possible. You may be somewhere that does not allow ground fires, or you may not have that much time. Here's a great solution. You can start it quickly and sit around the picnic table enjoying it for a bit. When you can't have a ground fire
So I hope I got you thinking!
There are so many possibilities, and none of these may work for you. But I hope I at least got you thinking about it. Our travel trailers and RVs may be the last thing on our minds at this time of the year (especially if you live in the north and have it all winterized waiting for next spring). But now's a great time to pick out a little something that will be waiting for you when the time comes to hit the road again.
Denny Johnson
After having spent most of our adult life in Orlando, my wife Fay and I moved to Knoxville, TN in 2020. We are loving the change of seasons and being near the mountains. Plus, this part of the country is loaded with great places to camp.We camped years ago with a pop-up camper, but got serious about it when we purchased our Casita in 2014. There was a lot to learn as we started traveling with it, and a lot of conflicting opinions on line. That's when I decided that creating a website would be a good retirement project. I started tinyTowable.com to share things we've learned along the way that have worked well for us in hopes that the information would be of help to others.
However, since moving to Tennessee, I've gotten involved with new hobbies (you can check some out on my personal website at https://www.softrite.com) and we haven't camped very much. So, at the end of 2023, I made the tough decision to stop updating this website.
